Guthrie is a non-profit 501(c)3 organization whose mission is to work with the communities we serve to help each person attain optimal, lifelong health and well-being. We will do so by providing integrated, clinically-advanced services that prevent, diagnose and treat disease, within an environment of compassion, learning and discovery.
Guthrie will always be grounded by our community roots. When Dr. Guthrie came to Sayre in 1910, meeting the health care needs of the communities we serve was the cornerstone of his mission. Under the guidance of Dr. Guthrie and in line with this mission, in 1944, Dr. Guthrie established the Guthrie Foundation. Since the initial inception, the Foundation has grown and evolved however, still maintains a similar vision to improve the lives of patients within the Twin Tiers community through the initiation of meaningful quality programs.
Collaboration is vital to ensure the success of our efforts. That is why we partner with other non-profit organizations in our community to benefit endeavors that promote health and healing.
